Jelena Dabic compositional output includes a significant number of solo and chamber music pieces, orchestral works, and operas, which have been performed on stages across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Dabic's music has been featured at numerous international festivals and has been commissioned by prestigious institutions such as the Kunsthalle Hamburg, Kassel Music Days, Siemens Arts Program Munich, Konzerthaus Berlin, Symphonic Orchestra Brasilia, Belgrade Philharmonic, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg,  State Opera Hamburg, Young Euro Classic Festival Berlin, Körber Foundation. 

 

Dabic's compositions have garnered critical acclaim and have been recognized with a number of awards and scholarships. Her diverse educational background and experiences have greatly influenced her compositional style, resulting in a unique and highly individual voice in contemporary music. 

 

Jelena Dabic's academic pursuits include studies in composition, musicology, and philosophy at the Academy of Art in Novi Sad and the University of Music and Performance in Munich. She obtained her PhD from Hamburg's University of Music and Theatre, where her dissertation titled "Die Risse im Raum" (The Rifts In Space) focused on site-specific music theatre and performance.
